The node
Umhlanga Ridge has grown into one of KwaZulu-Natal's primary corporate addresses, anchored by the Gateway Theatre of Shopping and the surrounding office precinct that has drawn multinational and regional headquarters out of the CBD. The uMhlanga Arch mixed-use development and the Umhlanga Ridge New Town Centre add dense daytime foot traffic on top of a resident corporate tenant base.
South along the ridge, La Lucia carries a concentration of private medical suites and specialist practices alongside La Lucia Mall, while La Lucia Ridge Office Estate hosts a cluster of secure, campus-style corporate parks with controlled vehicle and pedestrian entry points.
